What do we do about it?

At the beginning of the semester, we hosted a film screening (“A Better Life”) about how atheists find joy and meaning in life, but one of the primary criticisms of atheism is that it doesn’t provide hope to people in the midst of despair. How do secular people find hope? Or, as came up at the Interfaith Panel on Thursday, without hope of an afterlife, how can atheists find solace in the face of injustice?
